Meet The Swift Family

Staff Member

Ty Swift

Owner

Ty grew up in the trade, working at the shop after school and during summers. Initially, Ty had no intention of following in his parents' footsteps, but during college, he realized his passion for working with his hands and the appeal of working in the family business.

He brings a college degree in Behavioral Science, which aids in managing people, as well as a deep understanding of the trade from growing up in it. His main responsibilities as Owner/President include overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations and empowering managers to foster and pass down the company culture, expectations, and values.

Ty is especially proud of maintaining the Swift Plumbing legacy, continuing his parents' values of honesty, integrity, and quality work, and ensuring employees are treated fairly. He enjoys working with everyone at the shop and values the people he works with.

Outside of work, Ty enjoys lifting weights, traveling, and sharing good food with great friends. 

His future goals involve continuing to build on the company’s success, focusing more on the needs of local communities and further strengthening Swift Plumbing’s reputation and presence.

Kevin Chambers

Esitmator

Kevin has been with Swift for over 20 years, starting as an apprentice and working his way up through the company to become the Lead Estimator. Growing up in a family of plumbers, Kevin was naturally drawn to the trade. He worked his way through the company, gaining hands-on experience in various positions and ultimately achieving his current leadership role in estimating. Kevin’s proudest achievement is the journey from apprentice to Lead Estimator, showcasing his commitment and expertise.

Kevin enjoys seeing a project through from start to finish, taking satisfaction in ensuring that every detail is accounted for in his estimates. His attention to detail plays a key role in upholding the company's values of professionalism, respect, and quality.

Outside of work, Kevin enjoys snowboarding, scuba diving, and traveling.

Steve Esslinger

Hydronic Heating Tech

With 20 years at the company, Steve has grown from plumber to lead heating technician, specializing in hydronic heating systems. Inspired by his father’s career, Steve transitioned to the trade after serving in the army and is proud of earning his PLO1 and 06A certifications.

Steve values working with his hands and leading by example. Outside of work, he enjoys football, fishing, and sharing the fun fact that he has flat feet!

Jason Bishop

Service Plumber

Jason is the Lead Service Plumber at Swift, bringing nearly two decades of experience to his role. Jason began his journey with Swift as a warehouse helper and quickly advanced by joining the apprenticeship program. Over the years, he obtained his plumbing license, spent three years in new construction, and transitioned to the service department, where he has continued to excel. Jason embodies the company’s core values by leading through example, ensuring professionalism, respect, and quality in every aspect of his work.

Outside the job, Jason enjoys golfing and traveling, hobbies that reflect his balanced approach to work and life.

George Hall

Construction Manager

With over 16 years of experience in his current role, George oversees scheduling, resolves daily challenges, and ensures successful project completion. Starting as a plumbing apprentice 34 years ago, George has grown to lead the new construction department.

He takes pride in contributing to impactful community projects and upholding the company’s values of quality and professionalism. Outside of work, George enjoys clamming, crabbing, fishing, and attending sporting events.

New Construction Plumber

With 11 years at the company and prior experience in Arizona and New Mexico, Keith brings expertise and a passion for training the next generation. He enjoys tackling challenges and working with great people while upholding the company’s values of professionalism and quality.

Outside of work, Keith enjoys hiking and impressing others with his one-bite cupcake-eating skill!

New Construction Plumber

With 14+ years of plumbing experience, Jason specializes in residential, commercial, and medical gas installations. Proud of earning his med gas certification, he delivers high-quality work and collaborates effectively with contractors to ensure project success.

Outside of work, Jason enjoys sports and is a big hockey fan.

Kim Burk

Admin. Assistant

Before joining Swift, Kim had over 30 years of customer service experience, as well as a variety of office work skills in both retail and county government sectors. When moving from Oregon to Washington, she sought a family-owned company, and she was fortunate to join Swift, despite having no prior experience in the plumbing or heating industry.

Kim appreciates the freedom to work at her own pace without being micro-managed, and she enjoys the stress-free environment and friendly co-workers. She believes her work contributes to the company’s values through her accuracy, efficiency, and willingness to assist coworkers in finding solutions to improve workflow.

Outside of work, Kim enjoys camping, reading, crocheting, walking her dogs, and spending time with her kids. Fun fact: She has had 18 dogs in her lifetime and has fostered 10 more.

Monica Cabaniss

Service Manager

Monica oversees a team of 7 plumbers, 5 apprentices, and 2 dispatchers, ensuring the smooth operation of the service department. Monica's previous experience includes managing another small construction business office and working at a family plumbing company.

What Monica enjoys most about her work is the positive, collaborative environment and the relationships with her co-workers. She takes pride in contributing to her department's profitability and help them achieve goals.

Outside of work, Monica enjoys hiking, camping, and exploring the Pacific Northwest with friends. A fun fact about her is that she is still married to her high school sweetheart, and together, they have worked at the same company for 29 years.

Kellson Arhturs

Service Plumber

Kellson is a dedicated Service Plumber at Swift, providing expert repair and replacement services to customers. Over his seven-year tenure, he has risen from an apprentice with no prior experience to managing his own truck and mentoring apprentices. His journey reflects the company's commitment to growth and opportunity, as he transitioned from a complete novice to a licensed journeyman plumber, a milestone he holds with pride.

Kellson takes great satisfaction in helping customers and improving their lives through quality service. He believes in embodying the company’s values of professionalism, respect, and quality, both on and off the job, while passing these principles on to the apprentices he trains. A unique connection to his family history even adds a personal touch to his career—plumbing runs in his lineage, as his aunt’s father was a plumber in both Italy and New York.

Outside of work, Kellson enjoys building computers, working on cars, playing paintball, and golfing.

Drew Seeley

New Construction Plumber

Drew has been with the company for nearly 7 years, starting as an apprentice and gradually mastering the craft of plumbing systems. He brings a hands-on learning style, having previously worked in an automotive shop and built projects growing up.

Drew takes pride in obtaining his O1 license and is capable of handling any task that comes his way. He enjoys the variety that each job presents and brings patience and professionalism when working with contractors and homeowners, especially when plans change. Outside of work, Drew enjoys dirt biking, stand-up jet skiing, and snowboarding. Drew looks forward to hitting 10 years with the company and mentoring more apprentices.

Rick Swanson

Estimator

Rick brings decades of experience to the table, having been a Journeyman Plumber since 1986. He was attracted to the field because he enjoys working with his hands. Rick enjoys meeting new customers and building relationships with them, and being able to provide customers with great products at a fair price

Outside of work, Rick enjoys fishing and golfing and loves spending time with his family and grandkids.

CJ Swift

Warehouse Manager

What CJ enjoys most about his work is putting people in positions to have the most productive day possible. He believes that when plumbers are fully equipped and prepared, it reflects well on the company. 

CJ’s background in the plumbing field has provided him with a solid understanding of plumbing parts and fixtures. Additionally, his previous experience as an assistant operations manager honed his skills in managing deadlines, purchasing, and warehouse operations.

Outside of work, CJ enjoys fishing and watching football. A fun fact is that he’s a big Sci-Fi/Fantasy fan, enjoying franchises like Star Wars, Game of Thrones, and Lord of the Rings.

Dennis Fanara

Hydronic Heating Manager

Dennis has over 40 years of experience in the plumbing industry, including 13 years in management and expertise as a journeyman plumber. Dennis has worked extensively in hydronic heating, service plumbing, and drain cleaning, bringing a wealth of knowledge, especially in troubleshooting.

What Dennis enjoys most about his work is the variety of people he interacts with—customers, co-workers, field personnel, supply houses, and salespeople. He is proud of his long marriage, raising three successful children, and facing daily challenges that keep life interesting.

Outside of work, Dennis enjoys model railroads, bicycle riding, and spending time with his grandson.

Ryan Mahoney

Heating Tech

With 8 years at the company, Ryan has grown from apprentice to journeyman, leveraging 4 years of plumbing and electrical experience. He excels in installing hydronic heating systems, diagnosing complex issues, and delivering high-quality work.

Ryan enjoys the daily challenges and opportunities to improve, valuing the variety and hands-on nature of the job.

Katie Youngblood

New Construction Plumber

Since joining the company in November 2019, Katie has quickly advanced to a position where she runs her own jobs and drives her own van. Her background growing up on a farm gave her a solid foundation in hand tools and a strong work ethic, which has helped her excel in the plumbing trade.

Katie enjoys working with her hands, being outdoors, and collaborating with her coworkers. She is proud of her construction and tool knowledge and hopes to one day build her own home. Outside of work, Katie competes horses. She also enjoys skull taxidermy with dermestid beetles! Her future goal is to become med-gas certified to expand her skillset.

Caitlan Swift

Bookkeeper

Caitlan has been with Swift Plumbing for 3 years, serving as the company's bookkeeper. Her main responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, processing payments to vendors and suppliers, managing payroll, handling monthly and quarterly tax filings, preparing financial statements, and various other administrative tasks.

Before joining Swift Plumbing, Caitlan completed 3 years of bookkeeping and accounting coursework. She was drawn to this field because it aligns with her strengths and offers stability. Caitlan is particularly proud of her ability to clean up financial records and find ways to improve efficiency within the company.

Outside of work, Caitlan enjoys reading, cooking, and beadwork.

Avery Schuette

Hydronic Heating Tech

Avery specializes in hydronic and radiant heating systems. Starting as an apprentice, Avery developed expertise in troubleshooting and delivering high-quality service with professionalism and attention to detail.

Outside of work, Avery enjoys cooking, great food, and spending time with his girlfriend.

Dylan Brindle

Apprentice

Dylan has been with the company for 3 years, learning the trade while taking on more responsibility and becoming faster and more independent. Although he had no previous experience in a trade, his passion for working with his hands led him to plumbing.

He enjoys seeing the transformation of a building from start to finish and takes pride in doing his best work, a value instilled in him since day one. Outside of work, Dylan enjoys playing soccer and working on cars. His goal is to become completely independent and finish jobs on his own.

Sage Adam

Apprentice

In his fourth year as an apprentice, Sage is gaining more responsibilities, including working solo on projects. He brings a strong work ethic and a passion for working in fast-paced environments while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Sage is proud of his ability to work confidently and values respect and quality in his work. Outside of plumbing, he loves music, especially Destroy Lonely, and is the first plumber in his family. Sage’s future goal is to manage large commercial projects.

Lisa Pergam

Dispatcher

Lisa enjoys helping people and values the relationships she has with her coworkers. In her role, Lisa contributes to the company’s values by maintaining professionalism, respect, and communication, with an emphasis on timeliness and clarity. Her background in scheduling, dispatch and customer service across airline, car rental and forklift businesses contributed to her ability to multi-task, defuse tension and facilitates problem-solving. 

Outside of work, she enjoys attending concerts, walking her dog Mini, and spending time with her family.

Duncan Agnew

Apprentice

Prior to joining Swift, Duncan spent three years in retail customer service, a background that equipped him with the ability to understand and address individual customer needs effectively. This experience translates seamlessly into his plumbing work, where customer preferences and priorities are paramount.

Duncan values the satisfaction of completing a job well done and is dedicated to providing high-quality workmanship whether assisting his journeyman or managing tasks independently.

Outside of work, Duncan enjoys hiking and biking in the warmer months, and during the winter, he unwinds with tea and video games. He also has a passion for building computers, although he admits troubleshooting can be a less enjoyable aspect.

Josh Bemowski

Apprentice

Josh has been a plumber apprentice for 2 ½ years, currently focusing on new construction after gaining experience in the service department. A former Navy plumber, he chose this career path to continue working with his hands in a field he enjoys.

Josh is working toward his goal of becoming a journeyman plumber while upholding the company’s values of professionalism and quality. Outside of work, he enjoys archery, fishing, hunting, and recently joined the National Guard. Fun fact: Josh has been to Cuba!

Clevey Christenberry

Apprentice

Clevey joined Swift Plumbing & Heating to grow as a plumber and understand the intricacies of the trade. His previous experience in construction and remodeling has provided a solid foundation for his current role. He enjoys both the learning process and the people he works with.

Clevey contributes to the company's values by being a positive and respectful employee who aims to bring smiles to faces. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, and he has a background as a former athlete. His career goal is to become a licensed journeyman plumber.

Lloyd Deickman

Service Plumber

Lloyd is a Plumbing Service Technician at Swift with over 20 years of experience in plumbing, welding, sheet metal fabrication, framing, and residential remodeling. Additionally, his background includes firefighting, damage control, instrumentation, and automation, stemming from his service in the U.S. Navy. He finds satisfaction in customer service, especially ensuring the job is done right the first time and seeing customer satisfaction—along with meeting their pets! 

Outside of work, Lloyd has a range of unique hobbies, including blacksmithing, disc golf, and enjoying music and gaming. A fun fact about Lloyd: when he isn't wearing his work clothes, he's likely wearing a kilt.

Service Plumber

Andrew holds both a California plumbing contractor license and a Washington journeyman license. With four generations of plumbing experience behind him, Andrew brings knowledge and experience to his role as a journeyman service plumber. He takes great pride in earning two licenses at a young age, a significant achievement that reflects his dedication and expertise.

Andrew enjoys serving the community, helping people in need, and upholding Swift’s reputation and values through his work. Outside of plumbing, he enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with his pet rabbit, Finn.

Tyler Gerig

Apprentice

Prior to joining Swift, Tyler worked in the baking industry, where he developed strong problem-solving skills while working with machinery. Plumbing runs in his family—his father was also a plumber—which inspired Tyler to pursue this rewarding career. As a Plumbing Apprentice at Swift, Tyler has made significant progress, gaining confidence and even earning certification in drain cleaning. Tyler takes pride in helping customers resolve significant issues in their homes, finding satisfaction in seeing their relief and gratitude. 

Outside of work, Tyler is a devoted family man who cherishes time with his son and daughter. He also enjoys sports. Tyler’s future career goal is to become a fully licensed plumber, continuing to grow and contribute to the success of the company while supporting his family.

With a background as a carpenter, Corey brings a wealth of hands-on experience and craftsmanship to his role. Corey's transition from carpentry to plumbing showcases his adaptability and commitment to mastering a new trade. Looking ahead, Corey aims to continue excelling in his role and is working toward earning his PLO1 license, further solidifying his expertise in the plumbing field.

Outside of work, Corey is an avid hiker and backpacker who enjoys exploring the outdoors. As a father of two, he balances his professional growth with family life.

Colton Rice

Apprentice

Colton is an apprentice in the new construction department, and has quickly progressed from working in the warehouse to becoming an apprentice in the field. Colton brought valuable hands-on construction experience from working with his dad and friends, as well as from high school construction classes. He entered the plumbing field seeking a good career path and learning opportunity, and he's proud of the growth he’s achieved.

Outside of work, Colton enjoys working on his trucks, fishing, hunting, and spending time with friends. His future goals include working hard to obtain his plumbing license and eventually teaching others in the trade.

Kayla Wilson

Apprentice

Kayla's background in customer service has helped her develop strong communication skills, and her curiosity about working with her hands – a passion she developed as a child by taking things apart and putting them back together – led her to plumbing.

She is also passionate about breaking barriers in the plumbing industry, working to prove that plumbing isn’t just a "man's world" by helping inspire girls of all ages to pursue careers in trades. Outside of work, Kayla enjoys attending concerts, playing video games, building with Legos, and she has a deep love for animals – particularly cows, as she’s obsessed with cow print.

Alexa grew up around the company, which gave her a foundational understanding of the company’s values. She enjoys learning about the business behind the scenes, especially as she works closely with her dad, as well as managers Monica, George, and Dennis, who have supported her growth both professionally and personally.

Outside of work, Alexa enjoys spending time with friends at the beach or in the city.

In his first year with the company, Daniel plays a key role in ensuring quality work and customer satisfaction, while also taking on increasing responsibilities. He brings experience in service, new construction, and various materials and equipment operations.

Daniel enjoys the variety of the job and the challenge of starting and completing projects solo. He values professionalism, ensuring projects are done to code, and having fun along the way. Outside of work, Daniel treasures time with his kids and would rather play in a sandbox with them than do anything else. His future goal is to gain more commercial experience.

With 15 years of plumbing experience, Ryder specializes in high-end custom homes and has spent his life in construction and building. He values problem-solving, craftsmanship, and creating efficient systems while consistently delivering quality work.

In his first year with the company, Ryder is focused on growing through additional licenses and certifications. Outside of work, he prioritizes time with his family and takes pride in being the first plumber in his family.

Apprentice

As a Plumbing Apprentice at Swift, Tucker has quickly developed his problem-solving abilities on the job. He takes pride in his growing independence, being able to complete specific tasks without direct instruction. Tucker finds great satisfaction in seeing the impact of his work, particularly when solving customer problems and delivering quality outcomes.

Tucker actively contributes to the company's values of respect, professionalism, and quality by bringing these traits to his daily responsibilities. His hobbies outside of work include fishing, snowboarding, fitness, and video games. A fun fact about Tucker: he used to compete in go-karting at a semi-professional level.

Tucker's long-term goal is to earn his journeyman license through Swift, continuously building valuable skills and advancing in his career while upholding the company's commitment to excellence.

Service Plumber

Troy specializes in service and repair plumbing. With 18 years of service experience, Troy brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. Troy approaches his work with the same care and professionalism he would expect from someone working in his own home, embodying the company's values of respect, quality, and professionalism.

Outside of work, Troy enjoys spending time with his family. His future career goal is straightforward yet meaningful: to work toward a well-earned retirement in the future.

Jon Freeman

Service Plumber

Jon brings a wealth of experience from his five-year union apprenticeship and a 25 year background in commercial and residential service and construction. Jon also holds several certifications, including a Backflow Certification, Boiler Fireman Grade IV, and a PL01 Journeyman license.

Outside of work, Jon is a passionate musician and drummer who enjoys spending time in nature and engaging in outdoor activities. Looking ahead, his career goals include continuous learning and professional growth, with the ultimate aim of a fulfilling career leading to retirement.

Jon’s dedication to the craft and strong foundation in plumbing make him a key contributor to Swift’s mission of delivering quality service with integrity.

Warehouse Assosiate

Jesse brings warehouse experience, forklift skills, and customer service experience to his role at Swift. Since starting, Jesse has made great strides in learning about plumbing and heating, and now feels confident in running the warehouse. Jesse enjoys the fast-paced nature of the work, the variety it offers, and especially the people he works with.

Warehouse Assosiate

Chris leverages years of experience, including Department of Defense pipefitting, to organize and distribute materials efficiently as a warehouse associate. Formerly a plumbing journeyman, Chris stays productive while fostering positivity and pride in craftsmanship.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys fishing, hiking, and outdoor activities—and has a soft spot for ice cream!

Patrick Meckes

Apprentice

Patrick values learning daily and applying his knowledge to assist in troubleshooting, servicing hydronic boilers, and installing heating systems. With prior experience working on industrial boilers, he is eager to explore the differences between hydronic and steam/power boilers.

Patrick enjoys being part of the team and is proud of contributing to projects. He believes that as a representative of the company, he plays an important role in upholding its values of professionalism, respect, and quality. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his four children and teaching them life skills.

Ewan was drawn to the trades during high school and is passionate about working in a field where he can contribute to the community. Ewan’s dedication to his trade and his personal development shows his commitment to growing within the company, with the goal of becoming a fully licensed journeyman plumber in the future.

Outside of plumbing, Ewan enjoys 3D printing, RC hobbies, and attending concerts.

Dispatcher

With 13 years of dispatching experience at other plumbing companies and 5 years in a similar role at a propane company, Glynnis brings a wealth of knowledge to her position. She finds satisfaction in helping people get results, and she contributes to the company's values of professionalism, respect, and quality by maintaining a positive attitude and being...and providing treats to the in-office dogs. 

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, reading, solving puzzles, walking, and cooking.
