To celebrate World Plumbing Day (March 11), a day dedicated to recognizing the essential role plumbing plays in safeguarding public health and enhancing our daily lives, we at Swift Plumbing & Heating want to take this opportunity to introduce you to some of the remarkable individuals who form the backbone of our company. Our team’s dedication and expertise ensure that our community receives top-notch plumbing and heating services every day.

Ty Swift – Owner
Ty’s journey into the plumbing industry began in his youth, working at the shop after school and during summers. During college, Ty realized his passion for working with his hands and the appeal of joining the family business. Armed with a degree in Behavioral Science, Ty possesses a unique blend of people management skills and in-depth industry knowledge. As the Owner and President, he oversees the company’s daily operations, ensuring that the core values of honesty, integrity, and quality work—established by his parents—continue to thrive. Outside of work, he enjoys lifting weights, traveling, and sharing good food with great friends.
Kevin Chambers – Estimator
With over two decades at Swift, Kevin’s journey from apprentice to Lead Estimator is a testament to his dedication and expertise. Growing up in a family of plumbers, Kevin was naturally drawn to the trade. His meticulous attention to detail ensures that every project is accurately estimated, reflecting our commitment to professionalism, respect, and quality. Beyond the office, Kevin enjoys snowboarding, scuba diving, and traveling, embracing life’s adventures with the same enthusiasm he brings to his work.
Steve Esslinger – Hydronic Heating Technician
Steve’s 20-year tenure at Swift saw him grow from plumber to lead heating technician, specializing in hydronic heating systems. Inspired by his father’s career and following his service in the army, Steve transitioned to the plumbing trade, earning his PLO1 and 06A certifications. He values working with his hands and leads by example, embodying the dedication and expertise that our clients trust. Outside of work, Steve enjoys football, fishing, and sharing the fun fact that he has flat feet!
Jason Bishop – Service Plumber
Jason’s nearly two-decade-long career at Swift began as a warehouse helper. Through our apprenticeship program, he obtained his plumbing license and spent three years in new construction before transitioning to the service department. Now, as the Lead Service Plumber, Jason’s extensive experience and commitment ensure that our clients receive exceptional service.
Kim Burk – Admin. Assistant
Before joining Swift Plumbing & Heating, Kim amassed over 30 years of customer service experience across retail and county government sectors. Upon relocating from Oregon to Washington, she sought a family-owned company and found her place with us, despite having no prior experience in the plumbing or heating industry. Kim appreciates the autonomy in her role, the stress-free environment, and the camaraderie among co-workers, all of which contribute to her enjoyment at work.
George Hall – Construction Manager
With over 16 years of experience in his current role, George oversees scheduling, resolves daily challenges, and ensures successful project completion. Starting as a plumbing apprentice 34 years ago, George has grown to lead the new construction department. He takes pride in contributing to impactful community projects and upholding the company’s values of quality and professionalism. Outside of work, George enjoys clamming, crabbing, fishing, and attending sporting events.
Keith Cabaniss – New Construction Plumber
With 11 years at the company and prior experience in Arizona and New Mexico, Keith brings expertise and a passion for training the next generation. He enjoys tackling challenges and working with great people while upholding the company’s values of professionalism and quality. Outside of work, Keith enjoys hiking and impressing others with his one-bite cupcake-eating skill!
The Importance of World Plumbing Day
Established in 2010 by the World Plumbing Council, World Plumbing Day aims to highlight the vital role plumbing plays in health, environmental sustainability, and economic prosperity. It’s a day to acknowledge the contributions of plumbing professionals worldwide who ensure access to clean water and effective sanitation, thereby preventing disease and improving the quality of life.
As we celebrate this day, let’s also acknowledge the global efforts to improve plumbing and sanitation standards, striving for a healthier and more sustainable future for all.
